On the contrary, a user may visit a website and goes ahead and clicks on the other pages. The user then views other posts on that site. Eventually, he or she ends up touring the whole site. This is the exact opposite of a bounce rate.
When Google discovers such a trend on your website you are likely to rank highly. Google loves such sites and it will assume users love the information they are getting from your site.
How to decrease the bounce rate of a website?
- Provide quality content to your users. You should strive to showcase and publish well research and excellent content if you don’t want your blog or website to have a higher bounce rate.
- Show your product first to your website’s visitors. When people visit your site the first thing they want to see the products or services you offer.
- Declutter your webpages and main pages. Remove unnecessary widgets and call to actions from the sidebar and only keep the information that’s necessary.
- Crosslinking. As a matter of fact crosslinking is one of the key elements of Yoast SEO Analysis. Don’t publish a post without liking some of your previous posts or webpages.
- Use a legible text size for your site. If the text size in your site is too small, your readers will find it hard to read especially on their mobile devices. This will cause them to leave your site. Did you know that mobile traffic shot by almost 222% in the last 7 years? Therefore, the text size and font style used must be easily read on mobile devices without strain.
- Use of visuals such as images, videos, and infographics among others you can think of. When blogging was still raw, one could publish a whole page of text without a single image. Blogging has since evolved and nobody will read you when it’s than plain. Remember there is YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest which are more visual and fun to look at.
