How to Find your Google Tracking Code
Let’s understand what the Code Does in our Websites
What is a Google tracking code? This is a small snippet of Javascript used by Google Analytics to track its data about site visitors or customers. It’s therefore basically a unique tracking code that you install on your website.

The code basically looks like the snippet below and has your TRACKING ID which is confidential information and should NEVER be shared with anyone unless you want your Analytics to be hacked.

Google Tracking ID
The tracking ID is what I have brushed off with a red pen. As I said earlier, it is your secret ID. Do not reveal it to anyone especially within the online space. The code starts with a UA.

Step 1
So to get the tracking code you basically log into your Google Analytics Account and head onto Admin which is a button the left pane.

Step 2
Select Account and Property from the dropdown menu. Click on Tracking Info under Property.

Step 3
Still under Property column>Tracking Info, click on ‘Tracking Code‘

Step 4
You will now be able to view your unique Tracking ID (blurred in red) and Google Tracking Code. The Tracking ID starts with UA.
